On the ground experience in industry and a deep-seated interest in the field makes us ideally placed to handle the work relating to aerospace and defence. Our work relates to aircraft structures and systems, including: airframe components, manufacturing and assembly methods, fuel systems, tolerance control, fasteners, control surfaces, avionics, ground handling, and engine technology. We have a particularly keen insight into the challenges of balancing the often-competing needs of innovation and certification in the aerospace sector. We also have considerable experience of defence technology, including of body armour, IED disposal technology, torpedoes and launchers. In addition to drafting and prosecution, we have significant experience of oppositions in this field, and of freedom to operate analysis, especially during product development.
